DAY 8: COACHING WITH COACH BRENNAN BEGINS!

Coach Laura Brennan, founder of THe Goalie Pad, has an incredibly decorated hockey resume between her time in goal for Quinnipiac University and later the CT Whale. Her coaching skills took her into the PWHL and now to Yale Hockey all the while coaching goalies independently via The Goalie Pad.

A good friend of mine had the opportunity to coach along side Laura years ago and suggested I contact her to train me in my return to the net.

Aug 16, 2026 was my first session with Laura and we did a multitude of skating drills to asses my mobility level away from the net before getting into the net to work on crease mechanics, rink awareness, body positioning and then puck stopping.
